Flawless!
First of all, what a great photograph!
By this point in the tour they were really on a roll. The opening trio of old Jerry songs and the charming Queen Jane Approximately set the tone beautifully. The first set then goes right from old school into new school with an Even So > October Queen > Corrina sequence that's right on the fucking money. Deal neatly wraps up the first.
Bob's vocals are really rich in the Sailor > Saint > Smokestack, and you can tell that the sheer tempo and creative improvisation on display in Eyes of the World really wowed the Port Chester faithful. They jam the hell out of Eternity, and who would've ever expected a The Other One > Stella Blue > The Other One sandwich? NFA and Lovelight were great picks to close out the show. Warren's sit-in is just icing on the cake; he was such a frequent guest of RatDog that he instantly snaps into Weir and Lane's groove the second he plugs in for The Other One reprise.
The Capitol Theatre regulars will always give guys like Bob and Phil a warm reception, but they have so many shows under their belt that they can be tough to impress. The Wolf Bros were in the zone on 11/10/18, and you can tell from the cheers and whistles that they really dazzled those in attendance. Of the 5-10 Wolf Bros tapes that I've listened to so far, this one is my favorite. An incredibly well-balanced and clear recording of an outstanding show. I'll be sure to come back to this one again - thanks Mr. Buzzeo!
